Day 12 (March 10, 2007) - Flightless

Found the poor little guy on my front doorstep.

Day 5 Reject - Mediated

Those creepy pillars of media/advertising in the mall
always freak me out. This is Matthew again, with a touch
of digital burning/dodging in Photoshop to achieve this look.

Day 2 Reject - Unguarded

(Click on image for Full View)

I decided to go with this photo for
Day 2, but this one was a second
favorite. Used filtered black and white,
one of my favored styles lately. I am
considering to finally getting around
to those tutorials, and posting them here?

Day 11 (March 9, 2007) - Blind Spot

I had a particular shot for this day planned
out since the day before. I took the shot,
but ended up not using it. Instead, I caught
this one on the way out of the coffee shop
and into my car. The sun was setting, and
using my camera phone let me get away
with pretending i was texting instead of taking
a picture of the guy's car. I think I may end
up liking camera phones after all.

Day 10 (March 8, 2007) - 15 & 30

My first job is that of a customer services
representative. I later on worked on random
graphic design projects, and worked on the
management team as well. One of the
horrors of such a psuedo-corporate scene
was the way people live from payday to payday
(which was every 15th and 30th)

Like right now? I'm trying to stretch Php600
(that's around US$12) to last me until this 15th!

(I don't have to pay for bills and rent, and this
still bites. Money, I don't understand you.)

Still using the camera phone (and will remain
so until I can do something about in a week's time!)

Day 9 (March 7, 2007) - Ma and Me

(Please click image for Full View)

This Polaroid is one of my prized possessions. It's faded
into a strange shade of green, but it's my mother holding
me up as an infant, the photograph was taken by someone
from a baby modeling agency. I didn't make the cut.

Camera phone used (Augh).

Day 8 (March 6, 2007) - Grin

(Click on image for Full View)

I was able to catch this snapshot with Hitomi with
what seems to be her last breath. Until I can find the
misplaced charger, I might have to resort to taking
photos with my crappy camera phone.
I can't give up on this project, 8 days in!

Day 7 (March 5, 2007) - Electric Make Up

(Click on image for Full View)

There is something about looking at a Barbie Doll
upclose that is very, very creepy.

I've seen other 365-photographers going all out with
the Photoshop-ness, so I decided to give it a whirl
in the digital darkroom. I wanted to work with
the plastic feel, the unblinking gaze. (not that
dolls that blink are much better!)

STILL NO CAMERA BATTERY CHARGER. UGH!
This was the last shot I could take before Hitomi died on me :(

Day 6 Reject - Pottery

Posted by Picasa

I was looking at the decorative blue and white vases that
adorned a lot of the wall in the resto Cyma (greenbelt).

I still decided to go with "Father and Daughter", because
it spoke more than the pottery did.

Still, they are pretty cute, so I decided to work with
a "rejected photos" tag. (Also, I didn't want it to
look like I had completely given up on the
self-portraiture idea, right?)

Also, possible emergency! I can't find hitomi's
charger. (insert gnashing of teeth here). So until
I find it, I will go ahead and presevere and still
take photos without my beloved hitomi, until
I can find the charger :( I can't believe this!

Day 6 (March 4, 2007) - Father and Daughter

(Click on image for Full View)

Walter spent most of the dinner holding his six month
old daughter, Ginger. She often used his thumb and
fingers as a pacifier (so damn cute!) I also scared her a lot
with the flash of my camera! Auntie promises to get
a low light lens soon, so don't get mad, baby Ginger! D:

Day 5 (March 3, 2007) - SALE

(Click on image for Full View)

When I asked my boyfriend, Matthew, to
stand under the sign, he asked,
"Are you putting me up for sale?"

I wouldn't give you you up for a million dollars, honey.

(Now two million...would be another story! :P)

Day 4 (March 2, 2007) - Queen of Pain

(Click on image for Full View)

As inspired by Alanis Morissette's cover, "King of Pain"

"I have stood here before inside the pouring rain
With the world turning circles running 'round my brain
I guess I'm always hoping that you'll end this reign
But it's my destiny to be the king of pain"

Day 3 (March 1, 2007) - Antagonist

This shot was more work than I expected it to be.
The hardest thing is to fully see that image in my head,
and bring it out onto the shot. So this isn't what I wanted
it to be, but it's still good on it's own merit, away from
that preconceived image. This is why I love Photography.
